Launching of Smoking Cessation Clinic and Project “Tara, H.A.N.A.P. tayo”: Forging a Path to A Smoke-Free and TB-Free Paete

The municipality of Paete will be implementing two new projects, the smoking cessation clinic and the Project “Tara, H.A.N.A.P. tayo” which focuses on increasing awareness on tuberculosis.

Smoking increases the risk of various diseases such as hypertension, cardio-vascular diseases, cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and tuberculosis, among others. Tuberculosis is one of the leading causes of deaths and diseases in the municipality.
